You Don’t Know What I’ve Done

Wife stealer, accomplice to murder, failed father. These statements describe anyone you know?

They actually describe one of the greatest men of the Bible. It is someone God actually called “a man after my own heart”.

Is that a misprint? It’s actually not. The thing is the Bible is full of people who screwed up, who really screwed up, and yet were in the end considered great men and women of God.

How is that even possible? It’s possible because God didn’t leave them dead in their sin. He offered them complete forgiveness, a completely new heart, and a completely new start when they confessed their sin and turned to Him for forgiveness. And that same offer is available for you.

So I don’t know what you’ve done. You do, and God does. And so to you, whoever you are in this moment, the liar, the thief, the adulterer, the mocker, the sexually immoral, the gossiper, the abuser, the racist, the murderer, He is offering you today this same grace. It is offered to you the same as all the others. If you would call on the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins, God would forgive you today, He would make your sins that were scarlet red as white as snow today. He would give you a new heart and put His Spirit inside you to guide and teach you today. He would make you His child forever today.

And instead of the title you held previously, you would now be called the forgiven, the innocent, the redeemed, the child of the living God.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ died for you, and rose from the dead so that you could have new life? Would you like to experience God’s grace today?
